JMHZ – JMHZ Viewer (external add-on)

How to Display JMHZ Reports in a Readable Format Using an External Add-on?

Written by Petr Pech

When submitting JMHZ, ABRA Flexi generates an XML file in the format defined by the CSSA (ČSSZ). This file is intended for electronic submission and is not very easy to review manually.

To make it easier to check your data, you can use the simple tool available at this link.

This tool lets you view the JMHZ XML file in a clear, human-readable format.

ℹ️ The JMHZ Viewer is an application that runs entirely in your browser. The uploaded XML file is never sent anywhere - all processing takes place locally on your computer. Your data never leaves your browser.

How to use the tool

  1. Open the JMHZ XML Viewer page.

  2. Upload the XML file for REGZEC or MH:

    • by dragging it into the window, or

    • by clicking Load XML

  3. The tool will display the contents of the report in a structured format (a form). Data can be displayed either as a table or as cards.

What it's useful for

It helps, for example, with:

  • checking data before submitting a report

  • analyzing errors in the XML

  • verifying values calculated in payroll

  • communicating with support

  • correcting data here and saving it back into the XML using the Save XML button. If you make a correction that also affects the document header - typically health insurance - you must apply that change to the header as well.

This tool is intended only as a helper for checking MH or REGZEC XML files. The actual submission of the report is still done in the standard way (e.g., via the CSSA ePortal).

⚙️ Changelog

July 14, 2026

Legislation

  • Aligned the employee age check at registration (REGZEC) in the JMHZ Viewer with the EDV 1.4.0.6 definition - an employee under 14 years of age on the start date is now always rejected, regardless of the type of gainful activity (the previous exception for types T–Z and ZA–ZC has been removed).

  • Updated the employee registration structure check (REGZEC, XSD 1.4.0.3) in the JMHZ Viewer - submissions without a stated country of the foreign insurance provider are no longer incorrectly flagged as invalid (the field is now optional).

Bug fixes

  • Fixed false errors in checks M167 and M315 in the JMHZ Viewer - correctly calculated insurance premiums for hazardous occupations (27.8% rate) are no longer incorrectly flagged as erroneous due to rounding.

  • Fixed a premature file-saved message in the JMHZ Viewer - in browsers with their own download dialog (e.g., Firefox), a neutral message "File download has started" is now shown instead of a claim that saving has been completed.

  • Adjusted check R62 for the registration form (action A1) in the JMHZ Viewer - the start date may now be up to 8 calendar days in the future for all nationalities (previously only for foreign nationals), in accordance with Section 19 of the JMHZ Act effective from July 1, 2026.

  • Aligned the monthly report checks in the JMHZ Viewer with the MH Checks Catalog 1.4.2.6 - removed the now-obsolete check M28 and refined error messages (including for duplicate employment ID and for tax checks).

  • Updated the JMHZ submission structure check (XSD 1.4.3.4) in the JMHZ Viewer - submissions without a filled-in annual tax reconciliation request are no longer incorrectly flagged as invalid (the field is now optional).

June 11, 2026

Improvements

  • Fixed check M57 in the JMHZ Viewer per catalog 1.4.2.5 — it now correctly allows cases where worked hours do not exceed the provided limit after rounding up.

  • Fixed support for PREZEC in the JMHZ Viewer - the application now validates submissions against the current schema and correctly recognizes the new action codes issued on June 9, 2026.

June 4, 2026

Improvements

  • Improved keyboard control of the JMHZ Viewer — you can now move the cursor within the table using the arrow keys and Tab/Shift+Tab, without needing a mouse. Focus return has also been improved, and keyboard shortcut help has been added.

  • Added support for the new PREZEC form in the JMHZ Viewer, which allows pre-registration of an employee with full support for loading, displaying, editing, and validating data. The new form is now fully functional and lets you filter pre-registrations by actions P1/P2.

  • Improved clarity of error messages in the JMHZ Viewer: forbidden fields are now visually dimmed and cannot be edited, and attempting to change them shows a specific explanation of why the field is not available for the given form type. Added a new "Data Scenario" column so you can see at a glance which scenario an employee falls into.

May 26, 2026

Improvements

  • Added the option to display GUID identifiers in the JMHZ Viewer — you can now enable display of the submission ID and form ID in the menu, with a protective warning when editing them. Additionally, the table can now be scrolled sideways by dragging with the mouse, making it easier to work with wide lists of items.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed visual highlighting of duplicate PPV IDs in the JMHZ Viewer – problematic fields are now highlighted directly on the employee records, making it easier to identify errors during data checks. Also fixed the display of other error types (missing pay date, incorrect form type, and others), which are now consistently highlighted directly in the employee's data.

May 20, 2026

Bug fixes

  • Fixed error evaluation in the JMHZ Viewer for cancellation reports - checks are now run only for the relevant rules (deadlines, periods, structure), not for all of them. The same change also applies to canceling an individual employee within a corrective report.

  • Fixed navigation to the erroneous field in the JMHZ Viewer, where focus was in some cases set to the wrong location instead of the relevant field with the error.

  • Fixed check M343 in the JMHZ module — the viewer now correctly recognizes deferred income as a valid form type and will no longer incorrectly flag it as not matching the activity type.

  • Fixed rounding in check 315 in the JMHZ Viewer – it now correctly detects even minimal discrepancies in insurance premiums (differences of as little as CZK 1), which the system previously overlooked.

  • Fixed check M242 in the JMHZ Viewer — it will no longer bother you with errors about a missing country of residence, which is not available in the monthly report. This check itself continues to be performed on the CSSA's side.

  • Fixed the check for action A8 (Cancellation) in the JMHZ Viewer – the error was caused by an outdated code list source that did not contain all REGZEC actions. The code list is now connected to current MoLSA data, so reports will no longer contain false errors.

May 15, 2026

Improvements

  • Fixed 12 outdated checks in the JMHZ Viewer that the CSSA's ePortal no longer verifies, and updated 9 checks in line with the current MoLSA legislative catalog. The viewer now correctly reflects the current requirements for monthly reports.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the display of deferred income data in the JMHZ Viewer — the income type, month, and year of the period are now displayed correctly, which previously were not shown. Also fixed a bug that caused ELDP records to be duplicated in the viewer.

  • Fixed saving of values in the JMHZ Viewer – missing sections in the XML are now automatically created, and user edits are correctly saved without being lost when the file is reloaded.

May 7, 2026

Bug fixes

  • Fixed check R172 in the JMHZ Viewer – it is no longer triggered for action A2, since this action does not use the work permit data that the check requires.

  • Increased flexibility when entering municipality names in the JMHZ module – from now on, you no longer have to match the exact value from the code list and can enter your own text for the place of work.

May 5, 2026

Bug fixes

  • Fixed incorrect code list values in the JMHZ Viewer for the "Work currently offered" field — users now see the correct selection options according to the official CIS_PRUBEH_PRACE code list.

May 4, 2026

Bug fixes

  • Fixed gender validation in the JMHZ Viewer, which now correctly recognizes all valid values from the gender code list (M, F, 0, 9) and no longer shows incorrect error messages.

April 30, 2026

Improvements

  • Added validation of code list values in the JMHZ Viewer — new checks now verify the correctness of data such as the country that issued the document, the municipality code, the type of tax identification, the document type, the type of work permit, and other required items. In addition, the editor now shows drop-down menus suggesting valid values by code or name, which speeds up filling out the form.

  • Fixed loading of code lists for JMHZ — values are now automatically downloaded every night from 4 government sources (MoLSA, CSSA, CZSO) and published as a public API that can also be used by external developers and other systems. This gives the JMHZ Viewer access to all the checks it needs against correct and always up-to-date data.

  • Added the ability to load employee metadata directly from an official CSV file provided by the CSSA – the viewer automatically recognizes it and matches it to your records by PPV ID, or as a fallback by the insurance number (OIČ). For better clarity, the table adapts to the content and displays only the relevant columns, while custom CSV formats continue to be supported.

  • Fixed the behavior of the JMHZ Viewer when saving XML — empty optional fields are now removed only in fields you have edited, while other fields remain unchanged. Each save now automatically adds an identifying comment with the version and timestamp to the file, so that XML edited in our tool can be distinguished from XML coming directly from an ERP system.

  • Extended support in the JMHZ Viewer so that, in embed mode, it automatically processes ZIP files passed from an external system (in addition to the existing XML support). Integrating applications can now transfer multiple reports in a single ZIP archive, and the viewer loads and processes them without any further action from the user.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed check R100 in the JMHZ module, which incorrectly required the "Entitlement to severance pay" attribute to be filled in even in cases where "Termination reason" is not required based on the activity type.

  • Fixed checks M325 and M245 in the JMHZ Viewer, which now correctly recognize all work performance agreements with a single employer and correctly apply the relevant limits. In addition, the tax base is now correctly summed across all forms for the same employee, eliminating falsely reported errors.

  • Fixed validation of residency data in the JMHZ module for employees with permanent residence abroad — the exception for cross-border workers is now correctly applied during subsequent registration and correction, and the system now also correctly requires a residential address in the Czech Republic for employees from other foreign countries.

  • Fixed check M229 in the JMHZ Viewer – false errors will no longer be reported when applying the tax credit for a fourth or subsequent child with the correct order.

  • Fixed sorting of dependent children in the JMHZ Viewer – a child with order "N" is now displayed after children with numeric order values. Also fixed saving of children's data, which previously was not saved to the file after being entered.

April 23, 2026

Improvements

  • Extended the functionality of the JMHZ Viewer to allow loading and saving ZIP files containing reports that must be submitted zipped via the ePortal. When saving, you can now choose between the XML or ZIP format and choose between direct saving or a dialog with options.

  • Extended the JMHZ Viewer to display detailed employee information – you can now see the personal number, first name, last name, and employment relationship details directly in the table, without having to search through lists. Columns can also be pinned to remain visible while scrolling the table.

  • Added automatic pre-filling of the customer number in the JMHZ Viewer, which speeds up and simplifies reporting problems directly from the Flexi application.

  • Fixed validation of required and forbidden fields in the JMHZ Viewer — the system now checks whether all required fields are filled in and also flags fields that must not be filled in. The checks run automatically based on the employee's action type and ensure the report is filled in correctly.

  • Added attachment validation in the JMHZ module — the system now automatically verifies the length of the attachment name and description (max. 100 characters), the size of individual files (max. 2 MB), and the total size of all attachments (max. 4 MB); files exceeding these limits are rejected immediately. Allowed file formats are also verified, ensuring the consistency and security of your reports.

  • Fixed validation in the JMHZ Viewer — empty optional fields will no longer trigger XSD errors. Deleting a value automatically removes the field from the XML, while required fields remain monitored and will be correctly flagged as missing.

Bug fixes

  • Improved REGZEC validation in the JMHZ module – the system now correctly checks the combination of pension type and the date the pension is received from, preventing errors when reporting to the social insurance authority.

  • Fixed checks M229 and M230 in the JMH Viewer – they now correctly skip children for whom the tax credit does not apply and no longer incorrectly report validation warnings.

  • Fixed check R50 in the JMHZ module – verification is now performed only for actions A3 and A4, eliminating false errors when working with other action types.

  • Fixed address validation in the JMHZ Viewer – it now correctly processes foreign permanent residences (Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria) without unnecessarily requiring additional data.

April 17, 2026

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the child age check in the JMHZ Viewer – it will no longer run unnecessarily in cases where the tax credit does not apply to the child.

  • Fixed check R201 in the JMHZ Viewer — the system now correctly verifies the requirement to fill in the country code for foreign legal regulations only when the affiliation is actually specified.

April 16, 2026

Improvements

  • Added monthly report checks in the JMHZ Viewer — implemented 12 simple checks (e.g., required subordinate attributes, verification of ELDP codes) and 11 structural checks ensuring the correctness of the submission format. The remaining 45 checks are awaiting the delivery of code lists or an extension of the field mapping, while 68 complex checks require access to the CSSA's central systems.

  • Fixed validation of specific requirements in the JMHZ Viewer for the REGZEC report — conditionally required fields (e.g., the street number of the residence address, the reason for termination of employment, the ID of a foreign national's work permit) are now checked based on data entered in other fields and employee characteristics.

  • Fixed data validation in the JMHZ module — the viewer now correctly checks field formats, address details, dates, and logical dependencies between fields according to the REG-ZEC specification, and displays errors for required data and incorrect formats.

  • Fixed and extended validation of requirement conditions in the JMHZ Viewer – the system now correctly checks which fields are required, optional, or forbidden according to current legislation. Added 12 new checks for verifying residency data, work permits, and other employee parameters in accordance with the REG-ZEC specification.

  • Extended the functionality of the JMHZ Viewer to support working with multiple files at once – you can now open several XML files at the same time and quickly switch between them without losing their state. Also improved importing files via drag & drop and classic upload, with the system now correctly handling the opening of multiple files in a single operation.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed loading of XML files with windows-1250 encoding in the JMHZ Viewer — the application now correctly detects and processes files in this format, which is also used by CSSA services.

April 11, 2026

Improvements

• Fixed the rendering of content in card view, which was previously being cut off incorrectly, and removed unwanted toast notifications from PDF exports. Also improved the visibility and consistency of unsaved-changes indicators in the editing environment, and increased the loading speed of tables with a large number of records.

• Fixed the display of tax credit information in the JMHZ Viewer's header – all types of tax credits (employer credit, employee credits, and the fruit and vegetable credit) are now displayed correctly.

• Added a "Report a Problem" button in the JMHZ Viewer to make it easier to report errors directly to support by email – the dialog lets you describe the issue and add your customer number. When the message is sent, diagnostic information about the document and the checks that ran is automatically attached, helping the support team resolve the issue faster.

• Adjusted the export of the JMHZ list to Excel so that numeric values are exported correctly and the file can be opened without issues in the Numbers app on macOS computers.

Bug fixes

• Fixed a bug where the basic monthly report checks did not run when the JMHZ Viewer was automatically opened from the Flexi wizard – the checks now run correctly together with XSD validation.

• Fixed a bug where a potential error 329 was not detected. A check for error 329 has now been implemented.

• Adjusted check K42 in the JMHZ Viewer so that it correctly evaluates the conditions for field 10372 depending on whether fields 10239 and 10502 are filled in. The check now also works correctly in situations where MoLSA or PPV identifiers are not available.

April 8, 2026

Improvements

  • Added an "Export to PDF" button in the JMHZ Viewer with output configuration options.

  • Both views of the JMHZ Viewer (card and table) now include a new Attachments category, available only for REGZEC. You can attach a file of any type and size — for files over 20 MB, the application warns of possible slowdowns. Attachments can be downloaded or removed afterward.

Fixes

  • Fixed check K37 for the MoLSA institution code (attribute 10051) — validation now matches the official rule for calculating the check digit.

  • Checks K7, K216, and K284 now correctly take the employee's form type into account. For the KS activity and foster parent variants, the assessment base breakdown check is skipped; in K7, field 10477 is summed instead of field 10478 for these variants.

  • Fixed check K332, which incorrectly looked for the primary PPV element as a child element instead of a sibling element.

  • Check K99 has been tightened — it now verifies that dates 10241 and 10242 fall directly within the reported month.
