Flexi Cannot Save Files to Disk (Comodo Internet Security)

Flexi launches in a green border and files cannot be saved to disk from it

Written by Petr Pech

1. What the situation means

The ABRA Flexi application is running in isolated mode (Sandbox) and therefore does not have access to the disk. This typically manifests as an inability to save files, export data, or complete an installation.

2. Cause

The security software Comodo Internet Security has automatically launched the application in a Sandbox. The identifying sign is a green border around the application window.

3. Solution

Follow one of the scenarios described below:

Option A – One-time launch outside the Sandbox

  1. Close Flexi.

  2. Launch the application again (right-click → "Run normally" / outside the Sandbox).

  3. Verify that the window no longer has a green border.

Option B – Permanently allowing the application

  1. Open Comodo Internet Security.

  2. Go to the Sandbox / Auto-Containment settings.

  3. Add the Flexi application to the exceptions / trusted applications list.

  4. Save the changes and relaunch the application.
