Error: could not initialize proxy - no Session

This error can have multiple causes. Most commonly, it is related to a connection issue or specific application behavior.

Examples

1. Unstable Internet Connection

This is the most common cause.

We recommend:

  • verifying connection stability (especially Wi-Fi)

  • trying a wired connection

  • checking for network outages

👉 If the error appears randomly during normal work, this is typically the cause.

2. Error Triggered by a Specific Action

If the error recurs when performing the same action (e.g., submitting a document), it may indicate a problem within the application or its data.

For analysis on our end, we need:

  • the exact step-by-step procedure

  • the location where the error occurs

  • ideally a screenshot or video

3. Permissions Issue (macOS)

In some cases (macOS), the error may be related to application permissions. This is a very specific and unlikely scenario.

For example:

  • the email client does not open when sending a document

  • the cause may be a loss of permission to access email (e.g., after a system or application update)

Solution:

  • complete uninstallation of the application

  • deletion of configuration files

  • fresh installation

If you are running ABRA Flexi locally on macOS, never uninstall the application along with its data without first having a current backup.

How to Distinguish Between Causes

  • random errors during normal work → most likely a connection issue

  • recurring error on the same action → a specific problem within the application

  • email issue on macOS → likely a permissions problem

Recommended Steps

  • first, verify your connection

  • if the error persists, try to reproduce it

  • for specific issues (e.g., email on macOS), consider reinstalling the application
