Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) → Windows Server (64-bit)

Migrating from 32-bit Windows Server 2003 to 64-bit R2

Written by Petr Pech

Even with 64-bit Windows, we use 32-bit PostgreSQL, so it is sufficient to copy the data folder winstrom-data (C:\winstrom-data)

Before copying, you need to shut down Flexi (stop PostgreSQL).

Afterwards, you can install Flexi, which will take over the original data.

If an error occurs during installation:

Try saving the winstrom-data folder to a location with more permissive access rights, such as the Documents folder. Then, during installation, select the path to that location.
