How to register a bill of materials?

A bill of materials (BOM) is used to record the components that make up a given product. Every item in the bill of materials must be listed in the price list. First, create a price list item with the value "product, semi-finished product, or work in progress" in the inventory type field in the price list form header. The first dialog presented will ask for the product name (i.e., the item for which the bill of materials is being created); in the next step, you add the materials from which the product is made (these materials must be in the price list).
