Error: HttpContentTooLargeException when creating a backup

This error may appear when creating a backup on a local installation or self-hosted server.

This does not affect cloud installations.


What to do

If this error appears, the following steps should resolve it:

  1. restart your computer or the entire server

  2. then create the backup again

Simply restarting the ABRA Flexi service alone is usually not sufficient.

The exact cause of this error has not yet been reliably identified. This article therefore describes a verified workaround that has proven effective in these cases.
