Mid-Month Salary Change

An employee's salary changed mid-month, but the change did not take effect after updating payroll

Flexi is technically able to calculate salary only for full months.

The procedure for handling this situation is as follows:

1) In HR settings, enter the salary components as follows. Leave the salary valid until e.g. 15/09/2023 in place until the end of the month, and enter the new salary valid from 16/09/2023 with an effective date of 01/10/2023. Otherwise, two monthly salaries would be included in the update and the calculation would not work correctly.

2) Open the salary update for the given employee and navigate to the Basic Salary – Monthly Salary tab, where you check the user-defined amount change checkbox. In the Base field, enter the manually calculated gross salary from both salary components — i.e., the employee had a salary rate of CZK 21,000 until 15/09/2023 and CZK 30,000 from 16/09/2023 (base = the sum of the proportional parts of these two salaries). Then trigger the salary recalculation, and the system will automatically recalculate the amount per hour and the total amount.
