Company Backup

How to back up your company's accounting data?

🧾 Why back up?

For the long-term operation of ABRA Flexi, we recommend regularly backing up the data of your registered companies — just as you would with any other important data. Based on the access rights of individual users, the application offers two ways to perform a manual backup.


📁 How to perform a manual backup

  1. Log in to the registered company.

  2. In the main menu, select Company → Company Backup.

    • This method is especially useful before making bulk changes to many records.

  3. A dialog will appear for:

    • 🖱️ selecting the folder where you want to save the backup,

    • ✍️ entering a name for the backup (it is recommended to keep the .winstrom-backup extension).

    • We recommend saving to an external drive, USB flash drive, or cloud storage service (with sufficient space and write permissions).

  4. After confirming (clicking "Save"), the backup process will start. You will be notified upon successful completion.


🔔 Backup when closing the application

When logging out of the system, a dialog will appear asking whether you want to perform a backup:

  • If you click Yes, the same steps as above will appear (folder selection, backup name).

  • If you check the option "Close immediately after successful backup", the application will automatically shut down after saving the backup without any further confirmation.


🌐 Additional options

  • In the web user interface (WUI), you can find the backup option under Tools → Company Backup.

  • If you run Flexi on your own server, you can also use automatic backup.
