Pricing in GUI - Individual Prices

Individual selling prices, individual purchase prices, fixed prices in foreign currency

Written by Petr Pech

For a specific business partner or group of business partners, it is possible to set individual prices for individual price list items. Both sales and purchase prices can be configured this way.

Individual prices can also be used to set a fixed price in a foreign currency.

Once an individual price is set, it is always applied when the company, price list group, or currency is entered on a sales document.

In addition to manual entry, there is also an import option for sales and purchase prices.

Individual Sales Prices

Individual sales prices can be set in three ways. For all options, you can define a validity period or restrict the price to a specific cost center.

The manual option for creating individual prices can be found in the bottom tab bar of the price list or in the address book, under the name "Sales Prices".

1) For all companies

This option is particularly useful when setting a fixed price in a foreign currency. If you do not want to convert prices in the home currency using pricing exchange rates when selling a price list item, use this option.

2) For a specific company

As mentioned, an individual sales price can also be set for a specific customer. This is useful, for example, when you have an agreed price with a customer that differs from the default. It typically does not apply to retail sales.

3) For a price list group

Individual sales prices can also apply to price list groups (groups of customers). The behavior is the same as the option above (for a company), with the only difference being that the price applies to multiple companies.

How to set up a price list group is shown in the next guide.

Volume Discounts for Individual Sales Prices

As can already be seen from the screenshots above, you can also enter additional volume discounts for individual prices. These are applied in the same way as the individual price itself, with the difference that they only apply when the relevant quantity threshold is reached.

The configuration might look like this, for example:

Individual Purchase Prices

Just as a fixed sales price can be set in a foreign currency, a fixed purchase price in a foreign currency can also be configured.

The manual option for creating individual prices can be found in the bottom tab bar of the price list or in the address book, under the name "Purchase Prices".

It is also possible to set an individual purchase price specific to a particular supplier.

In addition to the standard individual price, volume discounts can also be specified — meaning the price may change once a certain quantity threshold is reached.

A supplier's item code can also be entered for individual purchase prices (useful, for example, when importing an ISDOC invoice, where the supplier code entered here is used to identify the price list item).

Additionally, text fields such as stock status or lead time can be entered. These have no further functional impact and are provided for your information only.
