How to check if a specific record was deleted

How to find out if a document or other record from ABRA Flexi has been deleted, and how this is handled in the cloud and on your own server.

Written by Petr Pech

Is an issued invoice or another record missing from your data, and you need to find out whether it was actually deleted? Every delete action is recorded in the journal — an audit table that keeps a history of changes made to the data.

⚠️ The journal is only used to find out who deleted a record and when. The document itself cannot be restored from it. The only way to recover it is by restoring a backup made before the deletion.

Cloud instance

You cannot access the journal through the standard interface — we will look this up for you. For the selected period, we will check whether a delete action was performed on the given record, and let you know when it happened and under which user account. This is a custom service, which will be quoted for you in advance by podporaflexi@abra.eu.

Own server or local installation

We need a company backup, in which we will perform the lookup the same way. Please upload the backup to us using the file upload form.

💡 Want to prevent situations like this? Restrict users' rights to delete documents — you can set this in the user role by selecting Access Details.
