Cash Flow Statement (WUI)

How to View Current and Future Cash Flow in the Web Interface

Written by Lenka Haringerová

The web interface allows you to display a Cash Flow chart for both past and future periods. This guide will show you how to do it. Available in the Premium plan only.

For cash flow, you need to ensure access to user queries (again via the user role — Tools -> User Queries). Available in the Premium plan only.

Adding the Cash Flow box to the dashboard

You can add Cash Flow to the dashboard by clicking the small arrow in the top right corner next to the "New" button and then selecting "Dashboard widget":

Then select Cash Flow.

This will add a new widget to the dashboard where you can view Cash Flow:

Cash Flow chart settings

You can customize the Cash Flow chart to suit your needs by clicking the "Settings" button below the Cash Flow chart:

The following settings are available here:

Name: The name of the widget, which you can change freely.

Include invoices from the last months: The number of past months to be included in the Cash Flow report.

Show future months: The number of future months to be included in the Cash Flow report.

Calculate with average company payment terms: Applies to the future period, where the data will be based on the average invoice payment duration for individual companies.

Include expenses from overdue invoices: Includes in the balance any expenses from received invoices that have not yet been paid and are already past their due date.

Include income from overdue invoices: Includes in the balance any income from issued invoices that have not yet been paid and are already past their due date.

Bank balance source: Here you can choose whether the bank balance is taken from accounting (i.e., account 221) or from bank documents (i.e., the bank ledger).

Bank balance account: The analytical bank account you want to include in the Cash Flow.

Display: Here you can choose whether you want the Cash Flow output displayed as a chart or a table.

Show both income and expenses as positive numbers: You can choose whether to display only positive numbers, or to show income as positive and expenses as negative. In the latter case, the chart might look like the following:

Show income, expenses, and balance on the same axis: When this option is selected, all of these values will be displayed together on a single axis.

You can have multiple views configured by adding the dashboard widget more than once and setting each one differently according to your needs.
