Automatic Bank Account Integration via the Dativery Platform – Hourly Statement Downloads for FIO, RB, ČSOB, ČS, and KB Directly into ABRA Flexi, Including Optional Automatic Payment Matching.

Written by Petr Pech

ABRA Flexi offers bank account integration that automatically and regularly downloads bank statements directly into the application — no manual downloading required on the user's part. This article describes how to activate the integration, which banks are supported, and what the service costs.

What the integration offers

Bank integration solves one of the most common routine accounting tasks — regularly downloading bank statements from online banking and importing them into ABRA Flexi.

Once set up, you no longer need to think about downloading statements manually. The system:

  • Downloads account transactions every hour throughout the day — giving you up-to-date information about incoming payments at any point during the day (useful when communicating with clients or for quickly dispatching paid orders)

  • Passes imported transactions to the Bank register, where they can subsequently be matched with documents

  • Enables automatic matching of both incoming and outgoing payments with documents directly as part of the transfer

The result is faster period closing, less manual work, and an up-to-date cash flow overview directly in ABRA Flexi.

📝 Note: Automatic payment matching can be configured both within the integration (described below) and independently in ABRA Flexi — see the article Payment Matching (desktop), or in the web application.

Supported banks

The following banks can currently be connected under the standard pricing plan:

  • FIO banka

  • Raiffeisenbank

  • ČSOB

  • Česká spořitelna

  • Komerční banka

💡 Tip: Communication between the bank and ABRA Flexi is handled by the integration platform Dativery, which also supports additional banks beyond the list above. If you use a different bank, check its availability directly on the Dativery website.

⚠️ Warning: FIO banka allows only one token to be created per account. If you have multiple accounts at FIO (e.g. in different currencies), you need to generate a separate token for each one and configure the integration individually for each account in ABRA Flexi.

How the integration works

Communication between the bank and ABRA Flexi is handled by the integration platform Dativery, which is directly linked to ABRA Flexi. All configuration and management of the integration takes place within an interface accessible directly from the bank account detail in ABRA Flexi — you do not need to worry about a separate registration or the technical details of the data transfer.

Dativery connects to online banking automatically every hour throughout the day and imports transactions into the Bank register. After the initial login to online banking — where you confirm access to the account (or enter an access token) — downloading runs automatically in the background.

Configuration in ABRA Flexi

You configure the integration directly in the bank account detail within the Bank Accounts list (desktop / web application).

💡 Tip: If you have multiple accounts at one bank in different currencies, each account must be created as a separate record in ABRA Flexi with its own integration.

Step 1: Preparation on the bank's side

For selected banks, first prepare the access credentials you will need in the setup wizard. The example below shows how to create a token for FIO banka.

In your online banking, go to Settings → API and generate a new token with the View account only permission.

Detailed instructions for individual banks can be found at the links below:

  • Raiffeisenbank

  • ČSOB

  • Česká spořitelna

  • Komerční banka

Step 2: Select the bank and format

In the bank account settings, first select the bank for which you want to activate automatic statement downloading.

In the bank account detail, under the Electronic Banking → Statements section, select DATIVERY: Dativery - automatic online integration in the Electronic banking format for statements field.

Once the format is selected, a Connect via Dativery button will appear in the Statements section. Clicking it will open the setup wizard in a new window on the Dativery platform.

Step 3: Dativery setup wizard

Follow the individual steps in the wizard:

  1. Scenario information – an overview of how the integration works

  2. Bank settings – select the specific bank and enter the token (FIO) or authorize access via online banking (other banks)

  3. Flow settings – transfer configuration:

    • the type of bank document with which payments will be created

    • the target bank account in Flexi

    • the date from which payments should be transferred

    • transaction currency

  4. Activate integration – saving the settings activates the integration and downloading begins

Step 5: Verification

After successfully completing the wizard, the in-progress integration notice will disappear from the bank account detail. Transactions will start appearing in the Bank register automatically at hourly intervals.

📝 Note: Until the setup is complete, the bank account detail displays the message "Bank integration is in progress – Bank connection is being set up. Statements are not yet being downloaded." This message will disappear automatically once the integration is successfully activated.

Editing the integration

In addition to creating a new integration, you can also edit an existing one at any time by clicking the Edit integration button.

In the dropdown list next to the button, you will also find options to pause or completely remove the integration.

Automatic payment matching

In the Flow settings step of the Dativery wizard, you can enable automatic matching of documents after each transaction import. You can match:

  • Incoming payments – with issued invoices and credit notes for received invoices

  • Outgoing payments – with received invoices and credit notes for issued invoices

The default matching strategy requires both the variable symbol and the amount to match the document. If either piece of information differs, the payment will remain unmatched. Alternative matching strategies can also be configured in Dativery.

💡 Tip: A detailed description of payment matching options in ABRA Flexi (including settings outside the Dativery scenario) can be found in the article Payment Matching.

Downloading historical payments

If you select a start date far in the past when activating the integration, the initial download of historical payments proceeds gradually in 7-day increments. In automatic mode, transferring one month of history takes approximately 4–5 hours.

If you want to catch up on history more quickly, you can advance the download in 7-day blocks by repeatedly clicking the Transfer payments button in Dativery.

⚠️ Warning: Some banks restrict historical access. FIO banka makes data available only for the past 90 days. If you need to transfer older transactions, you can temporarily enable extended access for the token in your online banking — the restriction will revert after 10 minutes.

Pricing

The bank integration feature is not included in the ABRA Flexi license and is charged separately based on the number of connected accounts.

Bank

Price per account / month

FIO banka, Raiffeisenbank, ČSOB, Česká spořitelna, Komerční banka

69 CZK

Other banks supported by the Dativery platform

279 CZK

📝 Note: The prices listed are preliminary and exclude VAT. For current terms and exact pricing, please contact the ABRA Flexi sales team.

Manual statement downloading

The bank integration described in this article represents the automated approach to downloading statements and requires a separate subscription. If you prefer free manual downloading, you can continue to use the original method:

  1. Download the statement from your online banking to a file.

  2. Import the file into ABRA Flexi using the Import statements function in the Bank register.

Detailed instructions for individual banks can be found in separate articles:

📝 Note: Manual downloading and the Dativery integration are independent of each other. They are not two ways of doing the same thing — the Dativery automatic integration runs as a standalone service, while manual import is performed exclusively via a file downloaded locally from the bank.

Working with data via the REST API

Imported transactions are also available in ABRA Flexi via the REST API as standard — for example for custom reporting, integration with other systems, or auditing. The process is described in the article Loading Bank Statements.
