When you start the application, a login dialog appears, allowing you to choose the data source you want to connect to. If you run Flexi on a single computer only, you don't need to worry about this setting. However, if you run Flexi over a network and the data source is located on another computer or in the cloud, you need to set the path to it.
ℹ️ For the cloud, enter your instance nazevfirmy.flexibee.eu as the server address. For your own server, enter the name or IP address of the server on your network.
Adding a new data source
A new data source is added through the Data Source Management dialog. It is accessible from the login dialog by clicking the gear icon.
If you have just installed the desktop application, you will be offered the following option:
The data source management dialog will appear, where, after installation, a source named Local computer is usually available in the list. On the right side of the dialog, buttons for managing data sources are available.
By clicking the Find button, you can automatically search for a Flexi server on the network (own server). If this function does not find any server, you can add one manually by clicking the Add button.
in the Server name field, enter the name under which you want the source to appear in the list. The name can be anything
in the Server address field, enter the cloud link or the server's URL address (name or IP address) where the database server is running
for the server port, enter 5434 (for your own server, the port may differ — check with your server administrator)
After filling in the form, click the Add button. When adding a new data source, the system verifies whether the data source is available and correctly initialized. If an error message about the data source being unavailable appears, check whether it is actually running and accessible from your computer. It's possible that it is being blocked by a firewall or that the database source is not configured for remote access.
Once added, the source will be available in the list of available sources, which you can edit as needed and remove individual sources if necessary. To log in to a newly added source, use the login dialog and select the data source you added from the selection list.
License file
If this is your first time installing Flexi and you have already closed the manual setup dialog, all that remains is to upload the license file. It can be obtained via the customer link that was included in the emails after registering with Flexi, or it can be sent upon request to the registration (billing) email address provided during registration.

Restoring default settings
If you accidentally deleted the default data source settings, you can easily restore them. In the data source management dialog, click the Default button.
