Predefined Texts

General information about code lists can be found in the chapter Setting Basic Parameters, section Code Lists.

Predefined Texts – This item is not a typical code list, but rather a list of texts that makes it easier to fill in text fields on documents. The easiest way to populate it is while working. When entering documents, if you fill in a text field that has buttons and , you can immediately save the text you have typed into that field to the list using part of the double-button . This will store the text in the list, and a confirmation message will appear on screen:

Of course, it is also possible to prepare this list in advance and then use it when working with documents.

The top toolbar contains a number of buttons whose functions are described in the dedicated chapter "Program Controls".

Below the top toolbar, there is also an option available where you can use to expand the lists and set restrictions by individual places of use or individual modules of use. More information can be found in the "Main Panel" chapter – see "Visibility in Places of Use" and "Visibility in Modules".

When "Place of use – unrestricted" and "Module of use – unrestricted" are preset, all predefined texts are displayed in this list. If you select "Cash Register" from the drop-down, only those texts that you can choose from when filling in cash register documents will be displayed in the list.

Main Panel

Press the "New" button or the keyboard shortcut Alt+N to open the form for a new record.

The top toolbar of the form contains a number of buttons whose functions are described in the dedicated chapter "Program Controls".

  • Name: The "Name" field can contain up to 255 characters. If you populate this list directly from documents, the text is copied into both this field and the following field. If you want to predefine texts, you can enter a shorter name here. This name is then displayed next to the text field when you click

Therefore, choose it so that the name clearly indicates what the text refers to.

  • Text: This is the full text that you want to insert into the text field in documents.

  • Visibility in Modules: Here you select

in which modules, or in which documents, you want to use the predefined text. If you populate this list directly from documents — for example, cash register documents — the relevant option is automatically selected here

Cash Register. Since you may want to use certain texts in multiple modules, you can check more than one option here.

  • Visibility in Places of Use: Here you select

in which text fields you want to use the predefined text. If you populate this list directly from documents — for example, a cash register document using the "Description" field — the relevant option is automatically selected here

Description. The places of use listed here are not always applicable to all documents, so please verify in advance that the place of use selected here is indeed supported in the intended document.
