Modes of Transport

Simple tracking of individual shipping methods. Does not include printing of shipping labels — an external application may be used for that purpose.

Shipping Methods

General information about code lists can be found in the chapter Basic Parameter Settings, section Code Lists.

Note: When using any variant of ABRA Flexi, the code list serves as a simple register of individual shipping methods, with the option to add text descriptions, define the record validity period, and configure selection keys.

Basic Tabs

The meaning of certain tabs in the add or edit record form remains the same for specific shipping methods as well.

Tab "Texts"

The "Texts" tab is available in all code lists and all records. It contains two fields that you can fill in according to your own needs. Completing these fields is optional.

  • Description: You can provide a more detailed description.

  • Note: The note is used to alert users to any special characteristics of the record, or to highlight anything other users should be aware of when working with the record.

Tab "Inter. Trade"

  • Export to E-Shop

  • Shipping Cost

Tab "Selection Keys"

You can attach various "Labels" to a specific record. Click the "Attach" button to display the label selection table. From the left-hand Available Labels table, use the arrow to move the labels you want to assign to the given record into the right-hand Selected Labels table, then confirm your selection by clicking "OK". If you need to add a label that does not yet appear in the left-hand Available Labels table, use the "Manage Labels" button. This will open the labels code list (menu Tools – Code Lists – Labels), where you can add the required label.

Tab "Administration"

The "Administration" tab contains information about the time-based validity and visibility of a given record in the code list (register). The validity of a record is defined by a range of calendar years. Within that range, the record is active; outside of it, the record is inactive and will not appear in the code list at all. By restricting validity, you ensure that users are not slowed down by having to scroll through obsolete records during routine use of the code list.

Because time-based validity is tied to calendar years, it does not correspond to fiscal accounting periods.

  • Valid from: The calendar year in which the record's validity begins.

  • Valid to: The calendar year in which the record's validity ends.

If you require unlimited validity for a record, do not change the preset value of "0" in the Valid from field or the value "9999" in the Valid to field. The record will then be usable in all calendar years and will appear in the list for every calendar year.

If you set both the Valid from and Valid to fields to "2016", the record will only be usable in the year 2016 — that is, it will only be visible in the list during that year (see accounting period in the sidebar navigation header).

Balíkobot Add-on

This add-on allows you to integrate Flexi with the Balikobot.cz application. Using the module, you can generate and print shipping labels, transmit data to carriers, and track the status of shipments. This extension fully replaces the original module in ABRA Flexi Mail and Freight Forwarding with basic support for ČP, PPL, and Geis.
