On some installations on macOS Big Sur, an issue with filters has been reported. Instead of opening in a pop-up window, filters and reports open in a tab. It is not possible to enter values and the application must be closed. This is a bug in a Java update.
The solution is in the macOS settings. In System Preferences > General, the value for Prefer tabs must not be set to: always. This value causes the issue described above. Set this value to "in full screen".
