Pricing in WUI - Price Levels

Working with price levels, creating sales prices using margin from purchase price or discount from sales price in the web interface.

Price levels allow you to define how sales prices are calculated for price list items or groups of items, applied to specific business partners or groups of partners.

Each price level, similarly to an individual price, can be set with a time-limited validity period.

You can easily find the price level using the search.

The method of calculating the sales price is divided by the base price:

  1. Purchase price – margin; discount

  2. Sales price – discount

As an example, we will select a 20% discount off the default sales price.

You can also specify a quantity-based discount from within the price level:

  1. Based on purchase price – by adjusting the margin or discount from a certain quantity

  2. Based on sales price – by applying an additional discount from a certain quantity

Since we selected a discount as the basic method of calculating the sales price, the quantity-based discount will also be discount-based. We will set a 25% discount for quantities of 50 or more, and a 30% discount for quantities of 100 or more. The quantity-based discount replaces the original discount — it is not an additional 25% or 30% on top of the original 20%.

In the price level header, you can select some of the key settings — whether the level should apply to all product groups or all companies, or whether a document discount should be applied.

You can also set whether the price level validity should be temporary.

When assigning a price level to specific records, it is important to remember that at least one entry must always be filled in on each side — that is, on the items side as well as the companies side (provided the level is not set to apply to all companies or all product groups).

You can define which items and companies the price level applies to in two ways:

  1. Validity for specific price list items (tab "Price List") or specific companies (tab "Company Addresses")

  2. Validity for a product group or company group (or price list groups)

The selection can of course be combined — for example, you can set a price level for two product groups while applying it to only one specific company.

An item can also be added to a price level from the "other side" — that is, from within the detail view of a price list item.

The same applies to the company directory — a company can also be added to a price level from within its detail view.
