Inventory Functions - Straighten Dates (GUI)

Non-standard warehouse function - when should I use it and where can I find it?

Written by Petr Pech

Each item on a warehouse document contains an issue date (editable by the user) and an actual creation date (stored in the database and not editable by the user).

There may be situations where you need to enter a warehouse document retroactively. In standard mode, the creation date will equal the actual date the record was created, not the issue date specified on the document.

The date alignment function overwrites the actual creation date with the issue date stated in the document header.

The button to launch this function can be found above the stock cards.

Warning
Entering a warehouse movement retroactively and then running the date alignment could result in a negative stock level. If this situation would occur, Flexi will not allow the date alignment to be performed.

In general, you can display items with a negative balance using the button in the top toolbar.

Once the process is complete, a stock recalculation must be performed (Tools -> Recalculate Stock) — this ensures that retroactively created movements update the cost of subsequent entries.

Note
Align Dates is not a standard feature. To activate it, please contact the sales department (371 124 321; obchodflexi@abra.eu).
