Company groups are a tool that allows you to easily organize individual companies in the address book into groups you define.
The company groups code list can be easily found using the web interface search.
If you use company groups frequently, you can easily customize the left-hand menu and add the group to it.
Creating a Company Group
As an example, we will create one company group and name it "Wholesale Customers".
It is sufficient to create a group with just a code and a name — its sole purpose is to serve as a linking element between individual companies in the address book.
Note
Company groups are not the same as price list groups, which are groups linked to pricing. To set up price list groups, please refer to a separate guide.
Once the company group has been saved, the next step is to assign the group to individual companies. This can be done directly in the company detail (the "Group" field) or via bulk changes.
Select the individual companies and proceed to bulk changes, where you select the "Group" field and the value (in our case) "VELKOOBCHOD".
After confirming, the changes will be applied. The result shows the exact number of updated records, or an error message indicating the cause of any issue.
Using Company Groups
Company groups are useful both for keeping the address book organized — you can easily filter by them — and for analyzing turnover and other metrics focused on a specific group.
Filtering
You can create a filter by company groups, save it, and reuse it regularly.
Learn how to work with filters in the documentation.
Sales/Purchase Analysis
In both sales and purchase analysis, you can target your analysis specifically at company groups. The result will therefore show not just individual companies, but the totals for each respective company group.
How to run a sales or purchase analysis is described here:
