Price list groups serve the purpose of dividing customers into groups, to which individual pricing can be applied. This can be either the previously mentioned fixed individual price, or a price calculated using the price level calculation method.
Where to find price list groups
You can find price list groups in the complete overview of agendas, or simply by using the search bar.
Using the New button in the top right corner of the price list groups agenda, we can then create a new price list group.
ℹ️ For the group itself, it's enough to fill in the abbreviation and name — nothing else needs to be set here. What matters is assigning the group to customers and then setting up the prices.
Assigning a group to customers
Once a group has been created, it needs to be assigned to specific customers. You have two options to choose from.
Individually
You can assign it on the details tab of a specific business partner.
By default, this field is not among those displayed in the address book record. It may therefore be necessary to add the field using the form settings.
In bulk
You can assign a group to multiple business partners at once using bulk changes. You'll find these in the footer of the agenda (similarly to other agendas).
How to find out which customers belong to a group
You can get an overview of the companies included in a price list group directly in the address book. Display the Price List Group column and use it to filter or sort the list. This way, you'll see all the customers to whom the prices for the given group apply, all at once.
Setting prices for a group
Once we have a price list group assigned to the relevant customers, all that remains is to set up the appropriate pricing for that price list group. There are two options available.
Fixed individual price
This can be either an individual price, instructions for setting it up can be found in another article.
Price level
Or a price level, whose principles we'll explain in the next guide.
⚠️ If you assign a company to a price list group only after a document has been issued, the prices on items already added will not be recalculated automatically. The same applies if you change the company on an existing document. The items need to be added again.
