In this article, we will show you how to generate an Employment Confirmation Certificate (Zápočtový list) when terminating an employee's employment and answer the most frequently asked questions.
Employment termination details
The details that appear as reasons for termination of employment can be entered in the Employees - HR menu on the Employment tab in the Termination section:
Here we fill in the employment end date, the method of termination, and the reason for termination. We fill in these details in the upper menu as shown in the image; the details below are used for submission to the Czech Social Security Administration (ČSSZ).
Garnishment and other deductions details
Details of any garnishment are pulled into the form from the Employees - HR menu on the Deductions tab. The following fields are taken from here into the form: Deduct from, Deduct until, Opening balance, Remaining, and Bank account details:
Employment Confirmation form
The Employment Confirmation Certificate form can be found in the Employees - Print Outputs - Other - Employment Confirmation (Zápočtový list) menu.
Here we select the person, and if they have only one employment contract, it will be filled in automatically. If the employee has multiple employment contracts, the correct one must be selected:
Click the Finish button and two versions of the form will be displayed — one with the national identification number and one with the date of birth only:

The hours of absence are not appearing in the Employment Confirmation Certificate, even though I have entered them in the absences.
Please check whether all payroll calculations have been completed for the employee. If they have not, the calculation will not be performed.
Where can I find the Employment Confirmation Certificate including the calculation of average net earnings for the purposes of the unemployment office?
The form is available in ABRA Flexi under Employees > Print Outputs > Other > Average Net Earnings Calculation.
The Employment Confirmation Certificate (Zápočtový list) shows illness, but does not show data related to care for a family member (OČR) — is this correct?
Yes. The Employment Confirmation Certificate only displays the information listed in Section 313 of the Labour Code, which does not include care for a family member (OČR).
