Written by Petr Pech

The Update Purchase Prices button in the price list allows you to bulk update purchase prices in the price list agenda according to selected criteria, such as warehouse selection, calculation method, or which price should be used for the calculation. This feature has been available in the web interface since version 2022-11-11.

You can find this feature in the Price List record, in the bottom toolbar under the three-dot icon.

Options offered by this feature

  • selection of price list items

    • the ability to apply the purchase price calculation to all displayed items, which can be further filtered

    • the ability to apply the purchase price calculation to a selected group of items.

  • the repricing algorithm offers a range of options for which prices should be considered in the calculation

    • the selected accounting period - current or one of the previous ones

    • where the purchase price should be taken from, with the option to choose the average warehouse price or the last purchase price

    • warehouse - you can select all warehouses or only specific ones for the calculation

    • calculation method - weighted average across selected warehouses, or average excluding zero prices

Calculation procedure

After clicking the Update Purchase Prices button, a new form opens, allowing you to select which price list items you want to change the purchase price for.

Confirm the item selection - all displayed items or a group - by clicking the Next button.

In the next step, the repricing algorithm offers the above-mentioned options that factor into the calculation.

Confirm the calculation criteria by clicking the Next button.

On the last screen of the form, you get an overview of the items that will be changed, their current purchase price set in the price list, and the new purchase price that will be set. The form also offers the option to display items where no price change occurs or items with a zero warehouse price. If you display these items, no change will be made and the zero price will not be set. This display is for overview purposes only.

Click the Finish button to update the purchase prices in the price list for the displayed items. Once completed, a summary with the number of changed records will be displayed, and the update is complete.
