The values on this form are generated based on the price list item and cannot be edited. A stock card is created when you add an item to the price list and check the Stock item checkbox. You must also Define the warehouse location on the same card in the price list.
In the Stock Cards menu, under the three-dot icon (...) at the bottom, you will find the Recalculate Stock Levels function. The purpose of the stock recalculation is to check and, if necessary, recalculate the prices on the stock card to their correct values. When triggered, it processes all stock movements.
Clicking the "pencil" icon opens the stock card detail:
This tab contains basic values from the Items – Price List menu; other values are updated based on stock documents that have been created.
The values shown on this tab are in the currency used for your accounting.
Price list: The value is carried over from the Items – Price List menu from the "Code/abbreviation" field. It can also be changed directly on this form.
Warehouse: The value is carried over from the Items – Price List menu – Details tab – from the "Define warehouse location" field. If you store goods in multiple warehouses, a separate stock card is created for each one.
Name: The value is carried over from the Items – Price List menu from the Name field. If you need to edit this field, please do so in the Items – Price List menu.
Date of last movement: The date of the last goods receipt for the given product.
Accounting period: The accounting period to which the stock card belongs — if you create a card in 2021, it will not be visible in 2020, etc.
Issue by expiry date: We recommend checking this option if you will be recording batch numbers and expiry dates for items on this card. When a line item is saved on an outgoing stock document, the batch number and expiry date are then automatically filled in on the "Accounting/Details" tab — always using the batch with the shortest remaining shelf life.
Note: If you are issuing a certain quantity of the same item from the warehouse but with different batch numbers and expiry dates, you must create multiple line items — the system will not automatically split them by expiry date. In this case, the batch number and expiry date can still be selected manually.
Stock level in UoM: This is the current stock level of the inventory item/product in units of measure, calculated from the opening balance and stock documents.
Stock level: This is the current stock level of the inventory item/product in CZK, calculated from the opening balance and stock documents.
Opening UoM: The opening stock balance in units of measure as of January 1 of the specified accounting period. This value is populated after Initializing the next accounting period (the Accounting module), which closes the accounting period and sets the opening balances for the new year. If any further movements were recorded in the previous year after this was done, you must run this option again to reset the opening balances correctly.
Opening: The opening stock balance in CZK as of January 1 of the specified accounting period. This value is populated after Initializing the next accounting period (the Accounting module), which closes the accounting period and sets the opening balances for the new year. If any further movements were recorded in the previous year after this was done, you must run this option again to reset the opening balances correctly.
If you access a stock card after initializing the next accounting period and no movements have yet been recorded in the new accounting period, the values in the Stock level and Opening fields will be identical.
Average price: If you have selected the Average cost method as the inventory valuation method under company settings in the "Modules" -> "Items" tab, the price shown here is effectively the stock price. This value is recalculated after each goods receipt. If you have selected the FIFO method, this value is not used.
Last price: Displays the most recent purchase price in CZK.
Min. stock UoM: This value is used in sales and purchase orders. When you create a sales order from a purchase order using the "Services" button, the minimum stock level column ("min. stock") will display the value you set here on the stock card. The minimum stock value is also used when creating a sales order, where you can use the "Services" -> "Order to minimum" button to generate an order that replenishes the stock to its minimum level.
Maximum: This field currently serves only as an optional informational note indicating the maximum stock level in the warehouse.
Reserved UoM: An informational value showing the total of all reservations for the given stock item in the warehouse.
Demand UoM: If you have enabled the generation of issue requests in your company settings (allowing you to create issue notes even for items not currently in stock), the total demand value will be displayed in this field.
Stock level in UoM including demand: Displays the stock level including any pending issue requests.
Available quantity: Shows the actual available quantity, i.e. excluding any pending issue requests.
