Pricing in GUI - Discounts

How to set up discounts within a document or its line items?

Written by Petr Pech

The basic way to adjust a price is by applying a discount. In Flexi, discounts can be entered in several ways — directly within a sales or purchase document (or its line items), or for a specific business partner in the address book.

Discount in the Document Header

A discount in the document header can be entered manually in both sales and purchase documents. The discount entered here as a percentage is then automatically applied to all line items of the respective document.

Discount in a Document Line Item

Similarly to the header discount, a discount can be entered on individual line items in both sales and purchase documents. This discount is also set as a percentage.

For each line item, you can specify whether the header-level discount should be applied or not.

If a discount is set both in the document header and on a line item, the header discount is applied first. The line item discount is then calculated on top of this newly reduced price.

Discount for a Specific Business Partner

A fixed discount can be set for a business partner in the address book. This discount will automatically be included in any sales or purchase document once that partner is added to the document.

The discount can be found in the "Business Settings" section of the relevant record in the address book.

Documents subsequently created for this company will then include the respective discount.
