In this article you will find instructions on how to create an Excel import file that can be uploaded via the web interface.
Imports can be used to add new information or to bulk-update existing records.
To get started, we recommend reading the article on Excel imports in the web interface first.
Company Addresses
After selecting the "Import from Excel" option, it is important to keep track of which file you are uploading. Once the file has been uploaded, Flexi will generate an overview in the next step, where one column lists the columns from Excel and another lists the columns in Flexi (these columns must be reviewed and completed where necessary). If you have missed any column, it can be added via "Advanced Options".
Example import file: adresar.xlxs
Below we will look at the columns that are required by default for a successful import:
Abbreviation:
The code/abbreviation for the given company under which it will be recorded in ABRA Flexi. Any abbreviation of up to 20 characters. This is a mandatory field for both creating and updating a record.
Name:
The name of the company being imported. This is a mandatory field.
Relationship Type:
Defines the relationship you have with the partner. This is not a mandatory field; the default value is Customer/Supplier. Possible values:
Customer/Supplier (typVztahu.odberDodav)
Customer (typVztahu.odberatel)
Supplier (typVztahu.dodavatel)
Manufacturer (typVztahu.vyrobce)
Social Insurance (typVztahu.socialka)
Health Insurance (typVztahu.zdravotka)
Tax Office (typVztahu.financniUrad)
Production Facility (typVztahu.vyrobna)
All (typVztahu.vsechno)
Company ID, VAT ID:
These are not mandatory fields.
VAT Registered:
Specifies whether the partner is registered for VAT. This is not a mandatory field; the default value is not VAT registered. This is a boolean field; possible values are TRUE/FALSE.
Contact Information:
Email, phone, website, etc. These are not mandatory fields.
Address:
Street, city, postal code, country, etc. These are not mandatory fields.
All properties of the company address record can be found at:

In the web interface, additional columns can of course be added via the settings in the bottom right. The easiest way to determine the format of individual fields is to use the Export to Excel option in the format suitable for import into Flexi.

Importing the Address Book from Excel
We will now walk through importing a file that contains one new record and one record to be updated. If you want to modify an existing record, use the Abbreviation field.
The Excel import provides a file selection dialog, or you can drag and drop the file from a folder on your PC:
The Excel file should be structured in the following format:
Flexi will now automatically match the individual columns based on the headers in the Excel file (despite this automation, always review the information and columns carefully, as some columns may not be matched correctly).
First, a test import will run to verify that the data is correctly formatted. In a single import, you can both update existing records and create new ones.
After reviewing, you can import the file by clicking the "Import" button in the bottom right. The same dialog will reappear, confirming whether the import was successful.
