In the following article, we will demonstrate an improvement in determining the balance side of accounts with the account type active/passive (based on result) in the "Account Balances" accounting output.
The improvement is available from version 2022.4.
These are accounts in the chart of accounts carrying the account type active/passive (based on result).
NOTE: The improvement in distributing balance sides to the Debit / Credit side is applied only to accounts starting from 0 with no recorded turnover. For existing accounts that have previously recorded turnovers, the change will not take effect.
In the following example, we will demonstrate how account balances are displayed on the Debit / Credit side in the older version 2022.3.3 compared to the new version 2022.4, in which the change was incorporated.
