In this chapter, we will walk through a specific example of importing from Excel into the Issued Quotes register. Issued quotes are generally used as offers directed to your customers, which may subsequently be followed by a received order. For more information about issued quotes, please refer to our documentation.
Individual line items are imported as quote items — if you have already created the issued quote header and want to import its items, please use the guide for importing quote items.
If your license includes imports of issued quotes, they will be available in the Tools module (Tools -> Import -> Import from Excel -> Issued Quotes).
We will now proceed to importing a specific file. We will be importing the following sample file: vydaneNabidky.xlsx
At this stage, we are only importing the document header. The individual quote line items will be imported in a second step, via the quote items import.
Since the Excel file contains column headers, check the "Ignore first row (column names)" option when selecting columns.
Note: The order of the columns selected for import must exactly match the order of the columns in the Excel file.
The table below explains what value each column should contain.
Column | Description |
Internal number | Enter the internal number format with which the issued quote should be created. |
Document type | Enter the code of the issued quote type; see documentation. |
Date issued | The date the quote was issued. |
Company | Enter the identifier (code/abbreviation column) of the relevant customer in the address book. |
Description | Optional supplementary text description. |
More information can be imported into the issued quote header. In practice, however, a quote always contains line items that are part of the respective quote. What we are offering to the customer is therefore included in the quote items.
All register attribute properties can be found at:

After selecting the relevant columns, click the "Ok" button and a table will appear showing the data types of the selected columns and their properties.
After clicking the "OK" button, select the file to import and confirm your consent to import the records. The import will notify you that new issued quotes are being created.
If you are importing existing records to update them, the import confirmation dialog will appear as shown in the screenshot below.
If the import fails and the Excel file needs to be corrected, a window should appear displaying the specific errors, along with an option to send an error report to Flexi support.
If the import completes successfully, you will find two newly created records in the issued quotes register.
