Deleting a user — deactivation and freeing up a license

Users with issued documents cannot be deleted. How to block them instead, either in one company or across all companies, and free up a license.

Written by Lenka Haringerová

A user who has already worked in the program cannot be deleted from ABRA Flexi — issued documents and their history are linked to that user, and deleting them would leave those records without an author. Instead of deleting the user, block them. This removes their access while freeing up the license for someone else.

Blocking in the Desktop Application

Use this procedure if you are blocking a user in a single company:

  1. Go to the menu Tools → Users in Company and open the relevant user.

  2. On the Login Details tab, set the User Type to Read Only and the User Role to BLOCKED: Inactive Account.

  3. On the Administration tab, limit the user's validity in the Valid Until field.

  4. Save by clicking Save and Close.

ℹ️ The Read Only user type does not consume a full license. The BLOCKED role then prevents the user from accessing all records.

Blocking Across All Companies

If your license covers multiple companies and you want to block a user everywhere at once, use the web interface:

  1. Open your server address in a browser (for example nazevfirmy.flexibee.eu) and log in.

  2. In the top right, click your username and select System Settings → Users.

  3. Click the relevant user and set the User Type to Read Only.

  4. Check the Block option and enter the reason for blocking.

This will prevent the user from accessing all companies they were set up in, and the license will be freed up for a new user.

💡 If you do not want to use the freed-up license for another user and would like to cancel it instead, please contact our sales department at obchodflexi@abra.eu.
