Monthly Financial Statement Accounting Output and How to Work with It

Written by Lenka Haringerová

What is the Monthly Financial Statement

The monthly financial statement is an overview of an organization's, company's, or other entity's income and expenses for a specific month. It helps track the financial situation, identify deviations from the plan, and plan next steps.

What the Monthly Financial Statement Is Used For

  • For better financial planning

  • To identify unnecessary costs

  • When applying for grants or loans

In ABRA Flexi, the report can be found in the menu Accounting - Accounting Outputs.

Creating the Monthly Financial Statement

After selecting the Monthly Financial Statement option, a wizard opens where you can configure the display parameters for the report. Select the month for which you want to generate the report.

Optionally, you can narrow the selection to specific accounts, cost centers, activities, and currencies.

Close the wizard by clicking the Finish button. A dialog for selecting the print report will open. You can choose the report language, and the resulting report can be opened as a preview or PDF, printed directly, or sent by email.

The generated report includes all documents posted to accounts in account classes 5 and 6. Amounts are displayed excluding VAT, and the Profit (+), Loss (-) line shows the figure representing the difference between Revenue and Costs.
