Even in a newly created "clean" company, the most commonly used analytical accounts are already set up in Accounting – Chart of Accounts; these are used in the pre-configured document types or posting templates. You are not required to use these accounts — you can create your own analytical accounts (two- or three-digit).
You can find the Chart of Accounts either via the magnifying glass icon, or in the company settings under the Records - Codelists - Accounting tab:
Review the existing accounts. Using the Edit option, you can correct the account number (analytical code) or update/add the account name. Using the New option, you can create a new account. The software automatically checks for duplicate accounts.
To supplement the chart of accounts, you can also use import from Excel, which you can find under the imports icon. During the import, an analytical account is created without a direct link to the Standard Chart of Accounts (see Records – Codelists – Accounting - Standard Chart of Accounts). Therefore, you need to open the imported accounts using the Edit option and add the link to the synthetic account manually.
As a reminder, the Standard Chart of Accounts is mandatory; you can only add synthetic accounts with the account type Off-balance Sheet or Intra-company.
For organizations of the type Entrepreneurs – tax records, accounts are replaced by posting templates. You can find the list of these templates in the Posting Templates tab. You can of course add new ones that you use.
