A company can contain a number of user settings. If you have multiple companies under your license, it may be desirable to use the same settings across several companies.
In this context, "settings" refers to column settings and filters, sorting, appearance, or for example the dashboard, and not the company settings as such.
Configuring such settings can take a considerable amount of time, so if they have already been set up in one company within your license, it is worth transferring them to another company in a one-time operation.
Transferring settings is only possible for the web interface. You can do this easily from the company selection screen.
