🖨️ Print Reports and Printing

Print Button in the Top Toolbar

The print button is available on almost all top toolbars of table overviews, code lists, and similar sections.
Its presence indicates that one or more print reports are available, which you can:

  • preview,

  • print,

  • save as PDF,

  • send by email.

Printing Directly from a Document

Inside a document (on the top toolbar), two print buttons are available:

When these two buttons are placed side by side:

  • Left button
Used for immediate printing of the report to a printer without any additional confirmation.
This printing method is intended primarily for users who require the fastest possible printing without a document preview.

  • Right button
Used to display a preview of the default print report.

⚙️ Print Settings in Documents

In individual document types, you can configure the following on the "Print" tab:

  • the print method,

  • and optionally, automatic printing of specific documents:

    • immediately after issuance,

    • or immediately after saving a document of the given type.

🗂️ Printing Across an Entire Section

When you click the standalone print button for an entire section, a selection of available print reports is displayed:

Available Print Reports

  • The list of reports varies depending on the specific section.

  • A detailed description of individual reports is provided in the relevant module documentation.

  • User-created print reports are listed first.

  • The basic printing characteristics are, however, the same in all cases.

🌍 Report Language

In addition to Czech, the application also supports:

  • English,

  • Slovak,

  • German.

You select the language using the "Report Language" field.

Translating a Report

  • If you want to view the report in Czech first and translate it afterwards, leave Czech selected here.

  • You can also select the translation directly in the preview of the generated report.

Translation Limitations

  • The report name (e.g., Invoice – tax document) is not translated.

  • Other fixed values are translated automatically.

  • Data you have entered will appear in a foreign language only if it was saved in that language.

This option must be enabled in the initial setup.
When filling in the "Name" field, you can use the "+" button to enter the name in other languages as well.

🖨️ The "Print" Section

In this section, you can choose (depending on the report type) exactly what should be printed.
If a particular option is not available, the toggle is disabled.

Print Options

  • All records
Used in a table overview when printing, for example, documents, delivery notes, or addresses on envelopes.

  • Current record
If a specific row is selected in the table, only that record will be printed.

  • Selected records
When multiple rows are selected in the table overview, this option is set automatically.

  • Records from … to …
All records from the current overview are pre-filled and can be adjusted as needed.

Filtering Before Printing

When printing overview reports, you can first narrow down your selection using a filter.
Only the currently displayed items will then be included in the print report.

📄 Extended Version of a Print Report

In some cases, two variants of a report are available:

  • standard (simpler),

  • extended (more detailed).

Selecting this option will print the extended version of the report.
If the field is disabled, no additional version of the report exists.

📏 Print Guide Lines

This option is used primarily with overview reports.

  • Checked: items are separated by lines

  • Unchecked: items are not visually separated

👁️ The "Preview" Button

Clicking the Preview button generates a print report for viewing.

Controls in the Preview

The following buttons are available in the preview toolbar:

  • Print
Opens the standard print dialog (printer selection, page range, number of copies).

  • Export to PDF
Allows you to save the report as a PDF. A confirmation dialog is displayed after a successful export.

  • Send by email
Opens the email composition dialog, with the report automatically attached as a PDF.
    Sending is possible:

    • via an email client,

    • or via an SMTP server.

  • Navigation arrows
Move to the first, previous, next, or last page.

  • Page indicator
Displays the number of the page currently being viewed.

  • Zoom level adjustment

    • actual size,

    • fit entire page to screen,

    • fit page width to screen,

    • magnifier for further zoom adjustments,

    • percentage field (default value 100%).

  • Report language selection
Used to translate the report — see the Report Language section.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Why do I see multiple print reports in some sections and only one in others?

The selection of print reports varies depending on the type of section and document. Each module has its own set of reports. If user-created print reports exist, they are displayed first in the list.

2. What is the difference between the PDF button and Preview → PDF?

  • PDF (direct button) – immediately exports to PDF without displaying a preview.

  • Preview → PDF – you first review the report and then save it.

3. What happens when I send multiple documents to different recipients?

The system automatically opens a separate email dialog for each recipient, allowing you to individually edit and send each email.

4. How do I convert invoices to English so that the invoice type is also translated?

In the menu Sales – Document Types – Issued Invoice Types, click the "+" icon next to the Name field and enter the name in the relevant language.

Then find the relevant invoice in the Issued Invoices register, open the print options, and select English from the language selector in the top toolbar.
