Server rights sit above regular user roles. While roles control access within a single company, server rights govern permissions across the entire installation — that is, across all companies in the license. They can only be set by the main administrator.
Where to find it
In the desktop application, go to the menu Tools → Users in Company. Open the user's details, go to the Login Credentials tab, and click the Server Rights button.
Access all companies
Once enabled, the user will have administrator rights in all companies within the license. The exception is the company in which the user was created — there, they retain the role they had before.
⚠️ This is a very powerful permission — the user will gain access to the accounting data of all companies in the license. Enable it with care.
Create users
Allows the user to add and edit other users. Without this right, the user cannot manage user accounts, even if they have an administrator role within the company — for more details, see the article I Can't Add or Edit Users.
