Side Navigation and Workspace

Side navigation and the workspace are closely related.

🧭 Side Navigation and Workspace – Detailed Description

A basic explanation of these concepts and how they are used was covered in the previous chapter, where you learned that the Side Navigation (i.e., the menu on the left side of the screen) contains a "Header" and buttons with the names of the ABRA Flexi modules:

📂 Workspace (Right Side of the Screen)

The workspace is where you work with your data — it displays lists, documents, and other features.

How do the two areas work together?

  • Any option selected from a module's expanded dropdown in the side navigation
is simultaneously displayed in the module's workspace.

  • However, the workspace often contains more options than are visible in the side navigation — including less frequently used features.

🗂️ Working with Tabs

  • Selecting any option from the side navigation or from the workspace menu creates a new tab.

  • You can have several tabs open from different modules and switch between them quickly.

  • When you no longer need a tab, simply close it by clicking the X next to its name.

Tip: This way you can open multiple lists and documents at once and conveniently compare information.

🔍 When You Need Extended Menus

Some options are not used frequently and therefore do not appear directly in the side navigation dropdown.

If you need to work with these less common features:

👉 click the module button itself,
which will display the full Module Workspace again, including all extended options.
