The Accounting module handles tasks that cannot be assigned to other modules, thereby completing the comprehensive accounting agenda of ABRA Flexi.
The individual options in this menu allow you to work with accounting documents, posting settings, document series, the chart of accounts, and accounting outputs.
🧾 Internal Documents
Used for entering internal accounting transactions that are not linked to other agendas (e.g., closing entries, repostings, internal transfers).

💰 Other Receivables
Allows you to record receivables that do not arise from regular business transactions (e.g., damage claims, loans, refund of advances).
📖 More in the chapter Other Receivables
💸 Other Payables
Used for recording liabilities outside of standard purchase invoices – e.g., contractual penalties, fees, or internal transfers.

🗂️ Document Series
Used for managing document numbering sequences by accounting period, module, or document type (e.g., VF2025, DF2025).

📊 Report List

📖 More in the chapter Report List
📚 Chart of Accounts

Allows you to add, edit, and organize accounts according to the company's needs.

🧭 Opening Account Balances
Used for entering or verifying opening balances on accounts when starting a new accounting period or when migrating data from another system.
Allows you to manually adjust the opening balances of general ledger accounts if they were not automatically carried over from the previous period.
Changes are reflected in the balance sheet and related financial statements.
Also used when importing data for a new company, where accounts are created with an opening balance based on external records.
Opening account balances should always be consistent with the closing balances of the previous year's completed period.
However, we do not recommend this approach when migrating from another system, as you lose continuity with the previous period when preparing the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement. In such cases, we recommend setting up account balances in the preceding accounting period followed by a year initialization.

📈 Accounting Outputs
Contains summary outputs from accounting, such as the accounting journal, general ledger, account overviews, profit and loss statement, and balance sheet.

🔄 Initialize Next Accounting Period
This option is used to carry over balances and open a new accounting period.
It is the only function in the Accounting module that is not accessible from anywhere else in the application.
If the new accounting period has not been created, the system will notify you of this fact.
If the new period exists, the Accounting Period Closing Wizard will launch.
Once completed, the closing operations and transfer of opening balances will be carried out.
Processing time varies depending on the volume of data (it may take several minutes).
Using this option transfers balances to the new year, while allowing you to continue making corrections in the closed period.
Running the closing process multiple times is safe – no duplicate data transfer occurs.
