There are two ways to change a password in the application. Either from the position of the user whose password is to be reset (provided they have sufficient permissions), or from the position of a license administrator with the server-level right "Change user passwords".

If you have forgotten your password and need to reset it, use the "Forgot password" option on the application login screen. A password reset token will be sent to your registered email address. If no registered email address is associated with your user account, please contact your license administrator to change the password.
Changing your own user password
You can change your password from either the desktop or the web application. We will show you both methods depending on which interface you are working in.
Desktop application
In the desktop application, you can change your password in the "Tools" module. As mentioned in the introduction, the user must have sufficient permissions in their user role.
Once you confirm the selection, the password change form will open. If you enter the correct current password and the new passwords match, you can submit the form.
Web application
In the web application, the password change option can be found under the user profile (the icon in the top-right corner of the application).
Changing another user's password
To perform this action, the user (administrator) must have so-called server-level rights. For more information about this setting, please refer to our guide.
If the user meets this requirement, you can change the password for another user.
Desktop application
In the "Tools" module, open the persons and users agenda, then open the detail of the specific user.
Once you open the user whose password you want to change, navigate to the "Login credentials" tab. You will find the required field there.
Web application
In the web application, the process is similar. First, open the Company Users agenda (e.g. using the search) and then open the editing view for the specific user.
Submitting the form will apply the password change.
FAQ
Is it possible to reset a forgotten password?
Absolutely — and very easily, provided that a registered email address is set for the user (you can select the "Forgot password" option on the login screen). If no registered email address is set for the user, please contact your license administrator to change the password.
How do I reset the license administrator password in the cloud?
If the administrator does not have a registered email address, the password can be reset by our development team. If needed, please contact our support.
Can a forgotten password be changed on a self-hosted server without a registered email address?
