Warehouse List - WUI

How to create and manage warehouses in the ABRA Flexi web interface?

Written by Petr Pech

When managing inventory, it is essential to have at least one warehouse on record. If you are managing or wish to manage inventory in ABRA Flexi, you must have a warehouse to which the relevant items will be assigned.

By subsequently assigning a warehouse to price list items, a stock card will be created. Once this step is complete, you can start working with the stock levels of individual items — for example, by creating goods receipts or issues.

You can easily find the warehouse list using the search bar;

or find it in the overview of all modules.

By default, the warehouse list contains only one default warehouse. However, you can create any number of additional warehouses, or simply rename the default warehouse to a suitable name.

A new warehouse can be created easily using the "New" button in the top-right corner.

Below, we will explain the purpose of each form field. The displayed form fields can also be freely customized via the field settings.

Code

The warehouse identifier. It is used primarily when importing document line items or stock cards to identify the warehouse.

Name

The name of the warehouse; has no further dependencies.

Description

An additional description; has no further dependencies.

Automatic warehouse

If enabled (true), a stock card will be created automatically (for this warehouse) whenever a new price list item is added.

Valid from / Valid to

Limits the validity of the given warehouse to a specific accounting period. This is particularly useful when you want to stop using a warehouse at the end of an accounting period.

Receipt series / Issue series

The document series to be used when issuing individual stock documents.

Warehouse account

The chart of accounts entry to which individual documents will be posted.

Currency

Specifies the currency in which the warehouse should be recorded.

Once the fields described above have been filled in, you can proceed to create the warehouse. Save it using the button in the bottom-right corner of the form.

In the same way, you can create any number of additional warehouses as needed.

As mentioned in the introduction, warehouses are used to create stock cards for individual price list items. You can learn how to do this in the guides for price list items and stock cards.

Once your price list and stock cards have been set up, you can easily create a goods receipt or issue and begin managing your inventory stock.
